The PRC PTAA Interact Club proudly celebrated the unveiling of the new PTAA school sign, a project made possible through funds raised by our dedicated members. This milestone reflects their commitment to service and school pride, creating a lasting symbol for the PTAA community.

Following the unveiling, Interact and Prestonwood Rotary members continued their day of service by packing 100 “Bye-Bye Bags” for VOGAL, helping provide comfort and essential items to those in need.

This was a meaningful day that showcased the heart of Rotary—leadership, service, and making a difference both within our school and throughout the community.

Today we had the privilege of learning more about the incredible Challenge Air initiative—founded by Rick Amber and dedicated to empowering children with special needs through the life-changing experience of flight.

We were especially inspired by the powerful stories shared by Sonny Friedman and April Culver, who spoke not only about the impact of the program, but also about Rick Amber’s vision and heart behind it. Their stories reflected a deep admiration for his legacy and a shared pride in carrying his mission forward.

Through their firsthand experiences, we saw how Challenge Air brings joy, confidence, and a sense of possibility to every child involved. Moments like these remind us of the profound impact service and community can have—lifting others higher, quite literally. ✈️💙

At  this year's Fire Rescue Appreciation Lunch, the Prestonwood Rotary Club had the honor of recognizing three exceptional individuals whose service and leadership make a lasting impact on our community.

Max Cruz – Driver/Engineer & Paramedic (13 years of service)
A respected leader known for leading by example, Max inspires excellence across his team. His mentorship, especially in training new recruits, and his ability to balance leadership with humility have earned him admiration throughout the department.

Mae Jennings – Senior Fire Prevention Officer (9 years of service)
Mae consistently goes above and beyond, demonstrating unmatched dedication, professionalism, and attention to detail. Her commitment not only ensures community safety but also elevates the performance of those around her.

Robert Gomez – Driver/Engineer & Fire Dispatcher (29 years of service)
With nearly three decades of service, Rob exemplifies experience, reliability, and unwavering dedication.

These photos capture moments of recognition, gratitude, and pride as we celebrate the dedication of those who serve selflessly every day. Thank you for your courage, leadership, and commitment to keeping our community safe.

PTAA Interact Club was proudly represented at EarthX, where President Rekik and Vice President Gianna delivered an inspiring presentation showcasing the club’s impactful service projects and commitment to sustainability. Their message highlighted how youth leadership can drive meaningful change in our communities.

A special moment of collaboration was also celebrated as the Interact Club of Reimagine Maryland generously donated a small refrigerator to support PTAA’s new “Shared Table” initiative. This program is designed to reduce food waste by rescuing uneaten lunches and making them available to those in need.

Together, these efforts reflect the power of partnership and service above self.
